Welcome to Innerstand. We’re here to help creators & brands do more with less. While AI is great, it’s becoming increasingly clear that we must be mindful of how we use it - to retain our human creative nature, and get better results in the process.
Basically, we’re sharing insights on how to link AI tools together to create efficient workflows, make better decisions, and free up our time. Our philosophy is built around a single inquiry: What becomes possible when inner coherence is the foundation of human-AI interaction?
To explore this, we’ll be sending a weekly email on Sundays at 7pm NZT.
These emails will centre around how we can use AI without losing our intelligence.
(By the way, it’s Billy Lewis here - thanks for signing up to this AI discussion via Instagram).
Here’s what you’ll get in the email:
Updates: A few interesting evolutions in the AI space
Insights: A tool, workflow, or system (probably a combination of these)
This conversation is important because
The fusion of AI and our human creativity has huge potential.
The result of the above could go either way — there are a lot of upsides/downsides that aren’t spoken about with enough depth or frequency.
AI can be a deep hole of information, so community sharing is a great way to see the forest from the trees.
Workflows and systems built with AI (not just tools) can create true lifestyle freedom if used with the right mindset.
AI is evolving quickly - and our mindset/approach will influence it’s trajectory, and therefore the future of humanity at large.

Insight
When you think about your relationship with AI, stop obsessing over individual tools. The value is in how they connect. Think in systems and flows, not apps.
For example, beyond just using ChatGPT on its own, think about what other areas of your biz/org/life you can plug it in to. Find efficiency by linking it to another tool. ChatGPT can also help to design workflows of other apps.
Here’s a 5-min pen + paper exercise I’ve been working with:
List your 5–10 tools you actually use.
Draw arrows for information flows between them.
Circle one repetitive bottleneck.
Sketch a 3-box flow that lets it flow smoother (Trigger > Action > Result).
Take a picture, send to ChatGPT (GPT-5 Thinking, or 04-mini) for review and insight.
Build the tiniest version asap, iterate from there.
For example, here’s how I store my receipts in Xero for accounting, using Airtable and Xero, joined together with Zapier.
Trigger: New purchase/invoice, fill out Airtable form with photo
Action: Zapier grabs Airtable data, sends to Xero
Result: Receipt in Xero ready to go for reconciliation.
This is a gamechanger for keeping my accounting organised, and honestly saves a lot of time of scrolling through emails/photos to find the right invoice.
That’s all for now. Thanks for being here. I definitely don’t have all the answers, but I have a lot of questions, and I suspect you do too. Let’s explore them together.
For now, you can contribute to the discussion by letting us know where your interest lies. Please reply to this email with your thoughts/ideas/questions.
Also, if you found this interesting, share it with 1 mate who needs simpler ops. Hit forward or send them this link.
Stay human,
